Unreleased iPad Models Spotted in Apple Code: iPad 12 and M4 iPad Air

Two unreleased new devices, the iPad 12 and the M4 iPad Air, have been discovered within Apple's internal code.

According to Apple's internal iOS 26 code, exposed by the foreign media outlet Macworld, Apple is developing two brand-new iPad models codenamed J581 and J582.

These models will feature the A19 chip, the same processor found in the current iPhone 17, which signifies a major performance upgrade for the entry-level iPad. They will also come equipped with a larger 8GB of RAM and the N1 wireless chip. The price is expected to remain consistent with the previous model.

Additionally, the internal Apple code confirms that the new generation of the iPad Air will be powered by the M4 chip.

The new iPad Air models, codenamed J707, J708, J737, and J738, are likely to see no major changes in terms of design. Their price is also expected to remain consistent with the previous model.
